Checking the cleanliness of equipment and operation of premises before production runs to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
Checking the quality of raw materials and weighing ingredients
Kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, mixing and shaping dough and pastry goods
Preparing pastry fillings
Monitoring oven temperatures and product appearance to determine baking times
Coordinating the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of batches of bread, rolls and pastry products
Glazing buns and pastries, and decorating cakes with cream and icing
Operating machines which roll and mould dough and cut biscuits
Emptying, cleaning and greasing baking trays, tins and other cooking equipment

The Migration Skills Assessment Program is a documentary-based assessment by Trades Recognition Australia that evaluates how overseas applicants' qualifications and employment history compare with Australian standards for their nominated occupation on the skilled migration list.

Trades Recognition Australia does not award Australian qualifications, occupational registrations, or occupational licences. Applicants must ensure they meet any employment, licensing, or qualification requirements in their nominated occupation. Authorization of a migration agent to act on behalf of the applicant is permitted. Eligibility Criteria

7 criteria
  • Nominated occupation must be listed on the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) or Short-term Skilled Occupations List (STSOL)
  • Nominated occupation must be directly relevant to your qualification and/or apprenticeship
  • Nominated occupation must be directly relevant to your employment
  • Not from a specified country of passport or occupation requiring offshore skills assessment
  • Not seeking assessment in Air conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic, Electrician (General), Electrician (Special Class), or Plumber (General) occupations
  • Not applying for Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485)
  • Not applying for Skills in Demand or Temporary Skill Shortage visa (subclass 482)
  • All required evidence of qualifications and/or apprenticeship
  • All required evidence of employment history
  • Current and correct personal details
