Data Disclaimer

Last updated: March 2026

Overview

Migrant Hub aggregates and presents data from publicly available government sources to assist users in understanding Australian skilled migration pathways. This disclaimer explains the nature, limitations, and intended use of that data.

By using Migrant Hub, you acknowledge and accept the terms of this disclaimer.

1. Sources of Data

Data displayed on the Platform is sourced from:

  • Department of Home Affairs — SkillSelect invitation round data, occupation ceiling information, and visa statistics, accessed via the Home Affairs CKAN API and published datasets
  • Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) — Supplementary labour market and demographic data
  • ANZSCO / OSCA — Occupation classification reference data
  • Assessing Authorities — Publicly available information regarding skills assessment requirements per occupation

These are third-party sources outside the control of Migrant Hub. We do not create, modify, or manufacture government data.

2. Data Accuracy and Currency

2.1 Not Real-Time

Data on the Platform is updated periodically based on the publication schedule of source agencies. There may be a lag between the Department of Home Affairs publishing a new invitation round and that data being reflected in Migrant Hub.

Do not rely on Migrant Hub as a real-time source for invitation round outcomes.

Always verify the latest round results directly at immi.homeaffairs.gov.au .

2.2 Accuracy Not Guaranteed

While we take reasonable care to display data accurately, we do not warrant that:

  • Any data point, chart, or statistic on the Platform is free from error
  • Occupation ceilings, points thresholds, or invitation trends reflect future Department behaviour
  • Data from assessing authorities is current or complete

2.3 Policy Changes

Australian immigration policy, occupation lists (MLTSSL, STSOL, ROL), and visa requirements are subject to change by the Australian Government at any time. Historical data patterns may not be indicative of future invitation rounds.

3. Points Calculator Disclaimer

The points calculator tool on Migrant Hub is provided as an estimation aid only. It is based on the published points test criteria for relevant visa subclasses. We do not guarantee:

  • That your self-assessed points score will match the Department's assessment
  • That achieving a particular score guarantees or predicts an invitation to apply
  • That all personal circumstances affecting your eligibility are captured by the calculator

The Department of Home Affairs makes the final determination on all visa applications.

4. Not Migration or Legal Advice

Nothing on Migrant Hub constitutes migration advice, legal advice, or a recommendation to apply for any visa.

Migrant Hub is an analytics and information platform. It is not a migration agent and is not registered with the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (OMARA).

For personalised visa advice, you should engage a MARA-registered migration agent. To verify an agent's registration, visit mara.gov.au .

MARA agents using Migrant Hub are responsible for independently verifying all data before relying on it to advise clients.

5. No Guarantee of Visa Outcome

Use of Migrant Hub does not improve, affect, or influence your visa application in any way. We make no representation that any information, tool, or insight on the Platform will result in a successful visa outcome.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Migrant Hub and its operators shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or harm arising from:

  • Reliance on data, analytics, or content displayed on the Platform
  • Decisions made based on points calculator outputs
  • Inaccuracies in third-party source data
  • Changes to immigration policy or Department processing procedures

This includes but is not limited to financial loss, missed visa application windows, or unsuccessful visa outcomes.

7. Reporting Data Issues

If you identify what you believe to be an inaccuracy or outdated data on the Platform, please contact us at support@migrationhub.com.au so we can investigate and update as appropriate.
