Skills Assessment Requirements

What you need to get your skills assessed for this occupation.

This page outlines ANMAC's skills assessment process for overseas nurses, midwives, and health care workers applying for Australian skilled migration visas. It explains the criteria-based assessment approach and what ANMAC does and does not provide.

Important note

ANMAC does not conduct tests as part of the assessment. Registration of nurses and midwives is handled separately by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA), not by ANMAC. The Department of Home Affairs uses ANMAC's assessment outcome to determine visa eligibility. If assessment is unsuccessful, applicants can appeal via the Skilled Migration Services Complaints and Disputes Policy.
