Skills Assessment Requirements

What you need to get your skills assessed for this occupation.

This page outlines Engineers Australia's migration skills assessment process for overseas engineers seeking to work in Australia. It describes the six-step application process, four assessment pathways, eligibility criteria, and required documentation for obtaining a formal skills assessment outcome letter.

Important note

Engineers Australia does not provide migration advice or award migration points. Applicants must contact the Department of Home Affairs for visa-related questions and to verify how long the assessment letter is valid for migration purposes. Assessment outcome letters are valid indefinitely with Engineers Australia. Applicants can request outcome reviews or appeals if they disagree with assessment decisions. The qualification checker tool on the International Engineering Alliance website can verify if qualifications are accredited under the Accords."
