Skills Assessment Requirements

What you need to get your skills assessed for this occupation.

The Job Ready Workplace Assessment (JRWA) is part of Trades Recognition Australia's Job Ready Program, designed to assess an applicant's ability to work at the required skill level for their occupation in Australia. Applicants must meet specific eligibility criteria including verified employment arrangements and submit required documentation before proceeding to workplace-based assessment.

Important note

Fees are outlined in Section 2 of the JRP Applicant Guidelines (refer to guidelines for specific amounts). If you change employers, register the new employer as soon as possible in the Online Portal and upload a completed EVR for review and acceptance by TRA. The JRWA involves a workplace assessment conducted by a TRA-approved RTO assessor, which may include practical skills observation and technical interview based on tasks recorded in your EVR and SPR. An assessment plan will be provided to you and your employer before the assessment. If unsuccessful, the JRWA report will explain reasons and provide options for review or reapplication."

  • Acceptable evidence provided for a minimum of six (6) months full-time equivalent employment from JRE Start Date
