AIMS is the designated assessing authority for skills assessment of healthcare professionals seeking to migrate to Australia in roles including Medical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Laboratory Technician, IVF Embryologist, and Pathology Collector/Phlebotomist. AIMS does not offer Distinguished Talent Visa Sponsorship/Nomination service under the Global Talent Independent Program. Applications remaining incomplete for more than 12 months may be withdrawn and closed. AIMS also provides employer-requested skills assessments and can consider amended applications with additional documentation after initial assessment is finalised.
Eligibility Criteria
5 criteria- Applicant seeking to migrate to Australia in one of the specified occupations: Medical Laboratory Scientist (ANZSCO 234611), Medical Laboratory Technician (ANZSCO 311213), Medical Laboratory Scientist Specialisation: IVF Embryologist (ANZSCO 234611), or Pathology Collector/Phlebotomist (ANZSCO 311216)
- Must meet Proficient English language requirements (effective 12 March 2026)
- English language test must include all four components (Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking) completed in one sitting
- English test results must not include a One Skill Retake component
- Required scores in English test must be achieved within the same test result
- Occupation-specific application form (completed with checklist)
- Evidence of qualifications
- Work experience documentation
- English language test results meeting Proficient English requirements
- Additional documentation as specified in occupation-specific guidelines
