This page describes CA ANZ's migration skills assessment service for overseas applicants seeking to work in accounting and finance occupations in Australia. It outlines the assessment types, eligibility criteria, application process, and required documents for skilled migration visas.

Important note

As of 1 July 2024, CA ANZ no longer offers provisional skills assessments. Applicants with a bachelor's degree or above may be eligible for the Post-Higher Education Work stream of the Temporary Graduate (subclass 485), which does not require a skills assessment. CA ANZ provides skills assessment only and does not provide migration or visa advice. For visa-related questions, contact the Department of Home Affairs or a registered migration agent. Three assessment types are available: Qualification Assessment (required for all), Skilled Employment Assessment (optional), and Combined Assessment.

Eligibility Criteria

5 criteria
  • Applying for a skilled migration visa to Australia
  • Nominated occupation is in accounting or finance
  • Occupation must be one of: Accountant (General), Management Accountant, Taxation Accountant, Corporate Treasurer, External Auditor, or Finance Manager
  • Occupation must be on the Skilled Occupation List
  • For skilled employment assessment: must first have a suitable and valid qualification assessment outcome for the same occupation from CA ANZ
  • Education and professional qualifications documentation
  • English language proficiency evidence (required for all applicants)
  • Work experience documentation (if applying for skilled employment assessment)
  • CA ANZ Third-Party Authorisation form (if appointing a migration agent)
  • All supporting documentation in correct format
